Business Development — Wellness Campaign for The Villij

The Villij was founded by best friends, Kim and Shanelle, who believed women of colour deserve access to tools that nurture their well-being. After years of feeling excluded, isolated and overwhelmed in health and wellness spaces, the duo set on a path to change the way women of colour accessed tools to take better care of themselves and their communities.

Spring 2021

Challenge

We began working with The Villij in 2019. The company sought to establish an inclusive community for BIPOC women in the wellness space. However, the pandemic had severely disrupted global consumption, forcing and permitting people to unlearn old habits and adopt new ones. In response, we shifted The Villij's position in the wellness industry by promoting new virtual offerings to face current reality. Our fresh perspective on media outreach focused on storytelling ushered in lasting relationships and partnerships with notable brands.

Opportunity

We supported The Villij in media relations and implemented strategic activations to back specific business objectives. In addition, we spearheaded the coordination of broadcast opportunities with Slice TV, CTV Your Morning, eTalk News, and ABC News to gain cross-national awareness to promote the introduction of Inner Villij. This new digital wellness platform gives experiences, tools and support to care for your well-being.
